We are the first CVB in the nation to have in the capacity of Vice-President of Client Relations, a highly rated national CMP straight from the meetings industry ranks. Donna Karl joined the CVB in the Fall of 2004 from the position of Director of Conventions and Meetings at the American Academy of Pediatrics. An 18 year industry veteran and a PCMA Midwest Chapter Planner of the Year, Donna brings a lifetime of sitting in your chair as an asset. Now she educates our staff and community on the multi-dimensional role of today's planners. She is able to bridge the gap between supplier and client, helping both sides come together in a positive manner. Donna is an advocate and additional team member in your corner to help prepare and deliver world-class meetings in New Orleans.
An additional component of the New Orleans CVB is the new Director of Group Public Relations and Communications, Tara Letort. Particularly benefiting smaller meetings clients without full-time marketing teams, Tara will develop and execute customized public relations, marketing and online plans to renew a sense of excitement about New Orleans among attendees, exhibitors and leadership, overcome misperceptions and ultimately boost attendance for all clients.
